The principles that guide my teaching methods, are that we are a whole system, that has experienced a whole life, that has led us to where we are now. Only by developing an understanding of where we are, and what is limiting us, can we begin to create the freedom and change that we desire. I believe that one of the most powerful ways we can feel and experience ourselves is through movement.
In 2012 I completed my 200 hour Hatha Yoga teacher training in India. Then in 2014 I completed my Yin Yoga teacher training in Thailand. My own journey in working with chronic pain, then led me to explore somatic movement. The transformative benefits I experienced, then led me to focus my studies in this direction and complete my 2nd level Somatic Movement Educator Coach training in Edmonton, Canada. My current studies are now in the area of Polyvagal Theory and nervous system regulation.
My goal is to create a safe and fun environment for my students to learn and explore, through movement. My passion is to empower my students with tools to build self awareness, self compassion, and self reliance.
May we all experience more of ourselves, and in turn awaken more in each other!
